"2022 proved to be an exciting and interesting year for me and my singing. Since being named the Circle100 winner two years ago I was finally able to use the award money to travel overseas for the first time since coming back to New Zealand as a result of the pandemic. Firstly in May I traveled to the USA to compete in the Loren L. Zachary Vocal Competition in Los Angeles in which I came 2nd. And then in October I traveled to Europe for the Vincerò worldwide singing competition in Napoli where I won first place! During the October trip I also auditioned for a number of European opera houses and since then I have received some offers for future engagements. I look forward to sharing these developments with you as they progress. In addition to these competition results I was named the Dame Malvina Award winner for 2022. These three achievements mean I am able to, with confidence, carry on with my journey of singing and relocate to Europe for an exciting new chapter of singing, performing and growth."
